How is reading time calculated?
Using an average silent reading speed of 200 words per minute. Speaking time uses 150 words per minute, which suits presentations and voiceovers.
Do character counts include spaces?
Both figures are shown. Use the count including spaces for Twitter and SMS limits; some academic submissions ask for the count excluding them.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every conversion runs inside your own browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device, which means there is nothing for us to store, read, or leak.
